Twin Ominous Dark Holes on the Sun: Solar Storm Forecast 03-23-2017

A solar storm rages on today giving us aurora all over the world along with spotty amateur radio conditions and GPS issues, especially at high latitudes. This is due to some fast wind from a huge coronal hole passing through the Earth-strike zone now. This storm has caused some disturbances deep in mid-latitudes, despite being a fairly weak storm. Expect conditions to last for at least the next day then things settle down for a short while before a second coronal hole throws more fast wind at us causing yet another solar storm.
