I had high hopes for this location:

1) It's close to my house and
2) It's inaccessible to motorized boats

It's difficult to find areas to fish during the summer that are not overrun by jet skis, wake boats, and party barges, so I was optimistic that this secluded stretch of the South Fork River, situated between two dams which restrict motorized travel from the remainder of Lake Wylie, would fit the bill nicely.
