Gaara
Throughout his childhood, Gaara was continuously kind to others. Despite the fact that the majority of Suna’s villagers loathed and feared him, he was able to continue thanks to the love he received from Yashamaru and his mother. Rasa, Gaara’s father, believed that these niceties were inhibiting Gaara’s development as a jinchriki and had stolen them from him: he instructed Yashamaru to try to kill Gaara and, if he failed, to tell Gaara that neither he nor Gaara’s mother had ever loved him. Rasa’s plan worked, since Gaara ceased seeking to connect with others after Yashamaru died. Gaara, on the other hand, was entirely focused on himself, driven completely by his own needs and the need to survive.
