Is the Three Stooges from Limited Run Games for NES Necessary?

I am largely a fan of what Limited Run Games does to help preserve old games, bring previously digital-only games to a physical release, and help people play games from the past they may have missed out on. But, in 2023 they announced a release that I just don't understand. Three Stooges for the NES is coming from Limited Run, but why is this necessary?

The reason I bring up the question is that on a recent trip to one of my local game stores, I saw a loose copy for the NES, and it was only $12.99. Now yes, this is loose so there's no box, manual, sleeve, or any of that. But at $59.99, what does this offer over and above the standard game? According to the Limited Run Games Site:

FEATURES:
10 games-with-in-a-game, including Stooges trivia.
Hear the Stooges' actual voices!
Nyuk! Nyuk! Relive a scene from a Stooges movie.

As far as I can tell there are no differences between this release and the original Activision release back in the 1980s. I love me some Stooges, one of the best gifts I ever got was the 3 Stooges VCR Game, but I just don't understand what LRG is doing here. Is this a personal pet project? Is this something Josh or Doug just wanted to make for personal reasons? If so I totally get that! I think that would be amazing and a total love letter to something if that is the case. But looking at what the game sells for, it's not rare, it's not uncommon, and it's not expensive, this release just has me scratching my head and doing the Curley Shuffle!

But what about you? Is this a release you've heard about? Is this something that you would be interested in? Let me know in the comments as I'd love to hear other people's perspectives on whether the Three Stooges from Limited Run Games for NES is a Necessary release.
