Big Flares & A Solar Storm Hits During SpaceX Astronaut Launch | Space Weather News 05.29.2020

What an historic week! Not only do we have the first SpaceX launch of astronauts, but our Sun is also firing the first M-class flares of the new Solar Cycle! We also have a stealthy solar storm on its way to Earth that should hit on the same day as the Dragon launch, but no worries, the solar storm is expected to be a weak one so it shouldnt impact the SpaceX launch. The bigger issue might be the impact of continued M-flares on radio communications during launch time. Just for this purpose, I have included an updated set of 5-day outlook graphics, specifically to clarify the SpaceX launch environment conditions.
