The first episode was aired on ITV1 Granada at 6.05pm on Sunday 29 April 2007. The series then transferred to Sky History Channel and the first episode was aired at 9.00pm on Sunday 3 September 2007 and repeated thereafter. Series Two (8 Episodes) attracted 29% of North West viewers (over 600 000+) and was voted by the 12-strong Public Reviewers Panel as unanimously the best program showing on ITV Granada - the first time that had ever happened in over 50 years. This series begins with the search for a real life giant in Hale before developing into the second adventure looking at invading Vikings in the region.
