UNBS CORRUPTION & POWER STRUGGLE DEEPENS

Members of parliament sitting on COSASE committee have blamed the minister for trade Francis Mwebesa for failing to reign over the corruption and power struggles at Uganda National Bureau of standards – UNBS.
This is after MPs learnt that Managing Director David Livingston Ebiru who was sacked one month ago on grounds of not being qualified has refused to leave office and still works normally.
The minister was also blamed for giving orders to exempt goods which by law are not supposed to be exempt.
