You know him as one of our generation’s favorite comedian, actor, writer, producer, and former late-night television host. After grinding out stand-up comedy for years, he became the host of NBC's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno from 1992 to 2009. After The Jay Leno Show was canceled in January 2010 amid a host controversy, Leno returned to host The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on March 1, 2010. He hosted his last episode of The Tonight Show on February 6, 2014. That year, he was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame. Before he made it big, Jay Leno slept in his car and crouched in empty LA homes. As a comedian and former host of NBC’s “The Tonight Show,” Jay Leno has enjoyed a successful and lucrative career. At the height of his time on “The Tonight Show,” Leno reportedly earned as much as $30 million a year.
