Dad & daughter caught in a terrifying tropical storm on their boat

This is their story:

A few years ago, I was caught returning from Montauk in my pursuit 3000 express boat. I had my 14-year-old daughter with me. Only in my 2nd year of boating. I made the terrible mistake of going into the cabin for a min because of the lightning hitting all around me. Never leave the steering wheel, I quickly learned. I filmed this for the brief moment I was in the cabin. The worst of this storm lasted just like this for 30 min. I filmed this when I was near Smithtown, Long Island, heading to the Bronx.
