Etsy Competitor? Michaels Launches "MakerPlace" Online Selling Platform

Is there a new Etsy competitor coming to the scene???
MakerPlace by Michaels® is a new online marketplace where you can sell handmade items, offer access to online classes through teaching, and share How-Tos with income-generating, shoppable supply lists.
This online platform is currently in beta and I did sign up for the waitlist just out of curiosity. It claims it will have Free Product Listings, Flexible Membership Options, and Low Referral Fees.
