My dogs mouth after he was bitten by a tick

He get Frontline, Scalibor and everything what is possible for protect dogs against tick. But he got one tick and after the tick has bitten him he was looking like this :-( At the vet he stopped breathing, so we had to resuscitate him. Please give your best to protect your dog(s) against tick.
