Flash flooding in Kentucky after heavy rain

Flooding in Mayfield, Kentucky after heavy rain and thunderstorms. Tia Nalani Nathaniel Rhodes, who lives with her family in Mayfield, Kentucky, told CNN she first noticed that her neighborhood was flooding around 3 a.m. Wednesday morning.

According to Rhodes, the nearby Red Duck Creek also over-flowed and added to the flash flooding in the area. “The water reached the front door of my home,” Rhodes said. “The insides of many cars and trucks were also flooded and everyone's yard furniture is floating around. Mayfield is a Disaster area with lots of downed trees and power outages.”
