50% of the agriculture in an area known as the fruit bowl of New Zealand was washed away during a Cyclone,
we say during, and not because of, at least not all of it.
Small towns deliberately flooded by diverting rivers in the middle of the night and not so much as a police vehicle
sent through to warn people that a wall of water was coming their way at 4am.
The official death toll stands at 8, yet many scattered reports of bodies floating down inundated waterways and
morgues being full would suggest a much higher figure than many had anticipated, somewhere in the
speculative region of 500-1000 people may have lost their lives, possibly being kept from leaking due to the
potential outrage it could ignite if they realised their loved ones were drowned in the middle of the night
by their government.
This reminds one of an Agenda 21 goal to clear people off the land.
