In this video, we’re visiting Palembang, Indonesia, and trying one of the country’s most legendary dishes, Pempek.

This savory fish cake is made from fish meat, tapioca, and a variety of spices, and is also served with a sweet and spicy sauce called cuka. There are countless varieties of Pempek, from Kapal Selam, to Lenjer, and we tried many of them.

So join us as we visit some of the most famous Pempek spots in Indonesia’s oldest city, and we’ll tell you which one we think is our favorite.
