Since the beginning of the special military operation in Ukraine, rescuing injured children in the conflict zone has become one of the priorities for both representatives of state organizations and ordinary people. The founder of a family-type orphanage in Donetsk left with her and adopted children for Russia, where caring people helped her find a home and settle in a new place.

Today, she continues to rescue and give shelter to children who have lost their parents. Residents of the Lugansk People's Republic told how they hid their children in basements, fearing that the children would be forcibly taken to Ukraine. Children's institutions staff explained that an important part of their work is the search for and return of wards to parents or legal representatives.
