Remember E-Palarong Pambasna? That E-Palarong Pambansa? Well it seems like its dead, well not dead defunct (defunct synonyms). So in a recent report by Inquirer. The E-Palarong Pambansa (EPP) organizers revealed that their national multi-esports tournament circuit has officially ceased its operations. Inquirer also mentions the announcement came after EPP initially hit the pause button just after the first week of action amidst multiple allegations and problems. We are not going to go deep since the majority are anecdotal.

Why and what happened? So remember someone mentioned to us that they are a nongovernment-affiliated org? Well that became through because apparently the National Youth Commission, who originally endorsed the tournament, has withdrawn its support. Is it really defunct? So in the announcement baked on the inquirer article, this is what they said. However, we have decided to continue the noble aspirations of the youth for esports and we believe the Philippine National Esports League is the right organization to “continue what we have started” under the brand of ‘The-Bagong Larong Pambasa’.
