How to Catch a Big Bass | Florida Everglades National Park

Today we drive to the Florida Everglades National Park in search of some nice nature trails and some water holding fish. I will show you how I rig my plastic worm and how to catch a big bass.

In this video:
We pay $25 to get into the Everglades National Park. Some people might think this is a lot of money but let me tell you it's worth it. It's also a national park so you can feel good that your money is going to the preservation of the wildlife in these parks.

We arrive at a body of water and I walk around it casting my plastic worm trying to catch a bass. The water looks clean and it looks like a great environment for bass. However I do not see any in this pond/lake and did not get any bass strikes so we hit some nature trails.

I thought the marsh would have some water holes holding bass, but it turns out there's no water at all at this marsh. Opps. I do end up getting my socks wet walking through the marshy mud. I'll need to wear boots next time!

We walk some more trails and the sun is starting to set. I'm getting a little sad with catching a big bass on my mind. We start driving towards the exit of the park but decide to stop at one more pond. I see some bass and get excited.

It doesn't take long before I catch the first bass. I will be releasing him, sorry this is not a catch n cook. Just a catch this time. But a park ranger told me that people inside the park do catch and cook the bass. I'm not sure how appealing that sounds, but you can't hate until you've tried it!

I keep fishing a little longer and then catch a big bass! Finally. I'm super stoked and satisfied. Man do I love Florida. Time to go home after a long day and cook some food!
