In this spearfishing episode out of the Florida Keys in Islamorada we are Spearfishing a kingfish ready to fire up the smoker for this catch n cook. Originally we are trying to spearfish a wahoo, but the wahoo never showed up. I was told because the water was a bit dirty and wahoo love the clean blue water. But we did get a kingfish spearfishing!

Despite the cold weather we still end up spearfishing a kingfish (thanks to Scott) and also catch crabs. We catch stone crabs! Looks like this will be a Florida Keys catch and cook after all. We are spearfishing offshore off Islamorada in 130ft of water. In Islamorada we only spearfish, then we go back to key largo to catch stone crabs.

I always wear a wetsuit when spearfishing in Florida. Even on hot days, but this was a cold day! I was cold spearfishing in the keys, believe it or not but it can happen! I guess i'm vulnerable to the cold when spearfishing offshore. But when there's wahoo and kingfish we go anyways! It's catch clean and cook time!

This has been a great spearfishing catch and cook. It's been a long time coming for me to put out another spearfishing the florida keys video on the South Florida Fishing Channel.
