Today we have an epic day of Florida Fishing out of Fort Pierce inlet. We catch and cook so many of Florida's favorite fish!

We catch a huge variety of Florida Fish. We catch a sailfish. Well.. we at least hook into a big sailfish which is my first time catching a sailfish which made for some epic fishing and screaming! We catch Mahi, Kingfish, Cobia, Snapper, Sharks and so much more in this catch and cook episode on the south florida fishing channel.

Fort Pierce Inlet fishing is something I grew up doing since I grew up in Vero beach so fishing fort pierce has a special place in my heart with lots of fish to catch. I have some other fishing videos on how to catch fish in fort pierce where we load up on kingfish, cobia and snapper.

We even caught some American red snapper, but this won't be a red snapper catch and cook since those fish were out of season and we had to throw them back. Darn!

We get an early start on this fishing trip because we have an hour long run through the Indian River Lagoon from Vero Beach to the Fort Pierce inlet.

It's freezing cold this morning but seeing a dolphin jump in our wake made me feel warm inside. (perhaps this is foreshadowing to the mahi mahi we will be catching later off Fort Pierce)

We wait for the North Causeway drawbridge to open for us and then take our last stop at the Pelican Yacht Club Fuel dock to fill up on fuel before heading out the Fort Pierce inlet to start trolling and fishing offshore.

We rig up some ballyhoo for trolling and prepare the outriggers. Game on it's time to start fishing.

We are trolling a ballyhoo on each outrigger and 2 dive plugs off the transom on the 50 wides at 7 knots between 60 to 90 feet of water. It doesn't take long for the first fish on.

Something struck a missed our ballyhoo so I start feeding out more line

We take a break from trolling and drop the anchor and do some bottom fishing in 80ft

Remember if you want to get yourself some deep drop chicken rigs, jigs, ballyhoo trolling rigs and more you can support this channel by heading over to https://southfloridafishingchannel.com - I can't tell you how awesome you are and how much it helps me if you do that

We pull the anchor and decide to high speed troll the bonita dive plug on the way back going around 14-16 knots.

We make our way back into the fort pierce inlet. Along with some other boats. And enjoy the last of the sunlight before our 1 hour ride in the
indian river back to the dock.

Once again the bridge opens for us to pass through and
We head to tylers house to fillet and cook the fish. Tyler voulunteered to fillet all the trigger fish what a hero.
While tyler cooks I chill with his pythons

I want to thank you guys for sticking around to the end. Huge thanks to Anthony for taking me out on his boat and to Tyler for cooking an amazing dinner after a long day of fishing.

We have another fishing video coming soon and like always smash that like button and hit the subscribe button if you haven't already.
And you'd put a huge smile on my face if you check out the shop at https://SouthFloridaFishingChannel.com on your way out. Cheers everyone

Thanks for making it to the end of this epic Florida fishing video and will see you next time on the South Florida Fishing Channel!
