Inspired By Scripture

2 Timothy 3:16

God has breathed life into all Scripture. It is useful for teaching us what is true. It is useful for correcting our mistakes. It is useful for making our lives whole again. It is useful for training us to do what is right. By using Scripture, the servant of God can be completely prepared to do every good thing.

From dire circumstances, Paul is writing to Timothy who he loves like a son. His letter is filled with love, compassion, encouragement and wisdom. Timothy was also trying to faithfully minister during troubled times.

In his letter Paul remained confident. When hard times come, turn to the scriptures to find your answer. Paul knew that the scriptures would provide them with wisdom, instruction for correction, and how to live loving and grace-filled lives.

As you go about your day today, think about what scripture has taught you, how it has called you to change, how it helps you become a better person.

O Gracious God, we thank you for the scriptures. Thank you for leading us into the right paths by your word. In Jesus’ holy name we pray. Amen.
