Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis is taking steps to streamline his campaign operations as he faces challenges in catching up to former President Donald Trump in the crowded GOP primary race.

This adjustment has been prompted by unexpected financial pressure.

DeSantis, who currently serves as the Governor of Florida, made the decision to release fewer than 10 paid staff members late last week, the Associated Press reported.

This move aims to reduce operating expenses and was confirmed by an anonymous DeSantis aide who was granted anonymity to discuss internal campaign strategy.
