Doi Inthanon, Chiang Mai is the highest peak in Thailand and here you will find the King And Queen Pagoda's.

The brown pagoda is named Phra Mahathat Naphamethanidon and was built for His Majesty the King Rama 9.
The purole pagoda is named Phra Mahathat Naphaphon Phumisiri and was built for Her Majesty Queen.

The name Doi Inthanon was given in honour of Inthawichayanon, the last King of Chiang Mai.
He ordered that, after his death, his remains be placed at Doi Luang, which was then renamed in his honour.
