What do you get when you stuff pita with cheese then fry that into a taco shell? Not quite a quesadilla, not quite a Chalupa, it’s Taco Bell’s NEW Quesalupa! We just had to figure out how to make one of these ourselves.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Pita Bread
Cheddar Cheese
Ground Beef
Taco Seasoning
Lettuce Tomatoes

Start by CAREFULLY cutting open your pita and spreading open the inside to form a pocket. Fill with cheese then cook on over a low heat on either side quickly to melt the cheese.

Cover the bottom of the pan with oil and turn to a high heat. Fry the pita until golden brown on either side then pat dry with some paper towels. Gently fold the pita in half and hold it in place with a spoon.

Cook your ground beef and stir in some taco seasoning. Add beef, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream to your pita shell and you’re done!
