Dr. Peter Hotez recommends ivermectin against river blindness, elephantiasis, malaria (2018)

Dr. Peter Hotez said in 2018 that he successfully used the SAFE drug ivermectin to prevent and treat river blindness and elephantiasis (the enlargement and hardening of limbs or body parts due to tissue swelling).

There was now also evidence that when mosquitoes drink the blood of people who'd taken ivermectin, the mosquito dies. Also, the ivermectin might prevent and/or treat malaria.

NB: This video mentions zika which is supposed to lead to severe birth defects. However, as Forrest Maready describes in his book 'Crooked: Man-Made Disease Explained', the defects were almost certainly caused by a mass vaccination campaign of pregnant women in certain regions in Brazil. When the birth defects were recognized, the authorities quickly swept almost all traces of their vaccine recommendations and blamed a virus.

My, how times have changed since 2018. At that time, early treatment with cheap, safe, available medicines was welcomed. From 2020 onwards, early treatments were seen as quack conspiracies. Although...

1. medications such as hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin were already authorized and had a (near-)perfect track record of safety over decades and many billions of doses
2. off-label prescription is both legal and common
3. only proof of safety is essential when you're confronted with a medical emergency, not proof of efficacy

...these medications were still smeared, banned and their use discouraged in the most forceful ways (e.g. by firing and/or fining doctors who prescribe them, and taking away their medical license). Why? Because allowing them would block the Emergency Use Authorization of the experimental, highly profitable, gene therapy and would lead to countless billions of dollars of lost revenues for the pharmaceutical cartel.
