We'll look at the gas leak that happened on 2 December 1984 when a storage tank at the Union Carbide chemical UCC plant in Bhopal began leaking a gas called methyl isocyanate (MIC). The plant, in Madhya Pradesh, India, was equipped with six safety systems designed to detect such a leak, none of which were operational that night. Twenty-seven tons of MIC gas spread throughout the sleeping city, to this day DOW never had to face liability for any damage done because they did not own any stock of UCC at the time of the gas release

A series of explosions at the Dow Chemical facility in Iberville Parish, Louisiana shook homes several miles away Friday evening, July 14, Fire and chemical smoke could be seen rising into the air, However, "they" said NO CONTAMINATION happened, A "Shelter in Place" order was given for a half mile radius around the plant out of "caution"
