Bulgarians are one of my favorite leg day movements, but unfortunately they’re quite painful & exhausting. A great alternative is the Unilateral or Single Leg Leg Press because you get a very similar setup without as high of a core, balance & stability demand. If your grip strength tends to struggle when holding DBs during split squats, you don’t have to worry about that on the leg press either. And your foot placement on the sled/platform can make the movement more quad biassed or glute biassed🍑, just like the split squat👍🏼
