Silenced: Nora Ames and the guilt of being gay in #Scientology

As a child, Nora Ames was declared one of the world's youngest people to reach #Scientology's famous state of 'Clear'. This meant she was expected to be an example to others and live a moral, ethical life - despite her sexuality being in direct contrast to L. Ron Hubbard's teachings.

In this conversation for my documentary 'The Second Dynamic', Nora discusses the struggles of growing up gay in Scientology and how she was saddled with years of guilt and shame.
