In the summer of 1890 author Bram Stoker visited the seaside town of Whitby in north Yorkshire, England for his annual summer holiday. A few months earlier he had had an idea to write a novel about a vampire count and while he was in the town he met local people and heard tales of eerie shipwrecks and ghostly hounds. Many of its locations, characters and stories found their way in to his famous gothic novel, Dracula. This short film explores the connections between Whitby, Bram Stoker and Dracula.
