I am currently using the Barronett Radar Ground Hunting Blind, and I must say, it is a fantastic product. Even in the pouring rain during my Turkey hunt, it remains waterproof, allowing me to stay dry and comfortable.
I have had this blind set up on the edge of the woods since August, enduring months of sun, rain, and even snow. Despite this, it is still in awesome shape, which speaks to its durability and high-quality materials.
One of the things I love about this blind is its great camo pattern. It has not faded over time, making it effective in concealing me from my prey. Another reason I bought this blind was because it is wide enough for bow hunting.
It provides enough space for comfortable shooting and maneuvering. Setting up the blind was a breeze, which I greatly appreciated. It didnt take much time or effort, allowing me to focus on preparing for my hunt.
However, there are a few cons that I have come across. The blind has "tab" connectors for the flaps, which are essentially elastic loops that go over a plastic bar.
While they are silent in comparison to zippers, they take a much longer time to take down and put back up, especially in cold weather. I personally find them quite inconvenient and prefer zippers instead.
Additionally, the circle hinges can sometimes pinch the flaps if you need to move them when the flaps are open. I accidentally got a small tear while doing so, so its important to be careful with them.
One minor issue I have with the blind is the odd blood drop pattern in the camo. Its not a big deal, but it seems like a strange addition for customization or differentiation purposes.
That being said, the durability of this blind is impressive. After leaving it up for 5 months, it still looks almost new. I am confident it will last for many seasons to come.
Despite the minor inconveniences, I wouldnt hesitate to purchase this blind again. Its pros outweigh the cons, and it has proven to be a reliable and effective hunting companion.
