My 40 Day Fast - Day 18 MHM Ep. 18 - no salt for 3 days.

This video chronicles my journey on a 40 day fast. Jesus fasted for 40 days, so there must have been a reason for it. As a matter of fact, Jesus did not perform any miracles before He fasted. One reason for this may be so He could get spiritually connected to the Holy Spirit. Remember Jesus came to earth as a man in every way. This is my eighteenth day of fasting and this video chronicles what I have experienced in the last 24 hours.

We now know there are a lot of physical benefits to fasting, and today and for the next 38 days I am going to find out what those benefits are in my own body, mind and spirit. The body goes into autophagy after about 3 days, a condition during which the body starts looking for whatever it can consume. Besides consuming excess stored fat, it also breaks down weak or old cells to recycle into new cells.

It is not just the physical or carnal benefits we get from fasting. We also strengthen the spiritual connection to our creator, Father God, through His Holy Spirit. One video I watched said that when Christians do this, at one point they recognize what happens and say, "That's Holy Spirit." This is the reason for my quest.
