“If you have one person in this world you can call a close friend, you are rich.” – James Lane.
Do you feel “lonely at the top”? Or perhaps you know a friend who is “lonely at the top.” An overlooked piece of leadership is relationships, especially that with friends and/or family. Leaders need people in a similar way that people need leaders. If you are a leader, who are your close friends supporting, counseling, and encouraging you in your leadership role? If you are friends with a leader, how are you supporting, advising, and encouraging your leader? This lesson is all about the power of friendship in leadership and will help you discern what kind of person you need to find or maybe you need to be.

My goal is that their hearts, having been knit together in love, may be encouraged, and that they may have all the riches that assurance brings in their understanding of the knowledge of the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. - Colossians 2:2-3
