House begins floor debate on nearly 300 amendments to the National Defense bill

The House of Representatives voted 217-207 Wednesday to proceed with floor debate on approximately 290 amendments to the Fiscal Year 2024 National Defense Authorization Act. A record 1,502 amendments have been submitted for consideration to this year’s defense policy bill.
