Many horse owners struggle IMO unnecessarily loading their horse(s) in the horse trailer. How about working on advancing trailering skills so you can send the horse in - rather than leading them in. Yes, tell them to hop in and they load themselves in the trailer and you just shut the divider behind them. That IMO is how well your horse should load because the time was spent to teach it and then that skill was practiced until they could not get it wrong. ----- And if you are leading them in - they should follow you in on a slack line - never taking the slack out of the line - they should be following their herd leader (you) where the herd (of two) is going. They should not be saying - I am not following you - which is simply letting you know they do NOT completely agree that you are the herd leader.

There are two principles of horse training that MUST always be followed to succeed. 1) Make the right thing easy and the wrong thing hard. 2) Horses learn what to do by when the demand ceases - when the pressure is released. --- In over fifty years of working with horses and their people I cannot begin to tell you how many times I have seen people violate those two principles OR actually quite unintentionally apply the principles to a bad behavior and thus train their horse to misbehave more and more because that is what is easy and that is when the demand ceases. Ponder on that - and ponder on that yet more.

Horses do NOT think like people - but people can learn to think like horses and can even learn to talk horse body language. Do both of those things and your ability to communicate with your horse will GREATLY improve - as will your enjoyment of your horse who now understands what you are trying to communicate with it - because you are talking horse to your horse.

Training horses always involves some risk of injury (or even death) to the horse, the trainer, any spectators, equipment used, etc. - this risk is totally your own as you will be making your own judgements on what to do. As with any suggestions on any subject you must weigh them out for yourself and proceed accordingly - at your own risk.

Remember to intentionally, on purpose, learn of God each day by prayerfully reading, studying, and pondering upon God's word each day. Talk to God in prayer as your Heavenly Father who would like for you to be His friend. Find out what He would like you to do for Him as His friend and go and do it for Him as His friend. Yes very intentionally, very much on purpose, become the friend of God. And have a blessed day!!
