Dictator Recep Tayyip Erdogan‘s efforts to block memberships of FInland and Sweden was not really about the terrorism concerns but it was about getting us backing for accessing to international financial system, pushing EU for customs union agreement and getting F16s.

Turkey’s economic realities defeated Erdogan’s ambitions. Even though he doesn’t want to but he is forced to lift Ankara’s veto for Sweden’s Nato membership.
