Mosasaurus is a genus of large aquatic carnivorous lizard from the Late Cretaceous some 70-66 million years ago. Mosasaurus gave its name to a group of marine lizards - Mosasaurs. The Mosasaurus from the movie Jurassic World (2015) seemed untrue to scale however.
