The Suunto D4F Black Freedive Computer is a great watch that fulfills all my diving needs. It is disappointing that the USB transfer cable is not included, but that doesnt overshadow its many amazing features.
I recently had the opportunity to go diving in Bali with a large group of freedivers from around the world, and the Suunto D4F was highly regarded by everyone I spoke to.
Despite being slightly pricier compared to other brands, it proved to be worth every penny. One of the standout features of this watch is the 6 depth alarms, which are extremely useful when training without a mask.
I can simply tuck it into my hood and have precise information about my depth and when to mouthfill. Its great to see that many experienced divers also trust this watch.
With numerous dives under their belts, it is a testament to the durability and reliability of the Suunto D4F. The watch is rated to a depth of 100m, and while I havent personally tested it to that extent, I can vouch for its performance up to at least 50m.
It gives me peace of mind knowing that it can handle such depths. Having completed 80 dives so far, ranging from 40m to 85m, I am thoroughly impressed with the performance of this watch.
Suuntos scuba diving computers may not be the best, but their focus on pure freediving technology truly shines in the D4F. I would not hesitate to purchase this watch again.
As a relatively new free diver, I find this watch perfect for my needs. It provides all the necessary data and features without overwhelming me with unnecessary complexity.
The Suunto D4F is a solid computer that is also very intuitive to use. I also own the Oceanic f10, but I find myself reaching for the D4F more often. Its user-friendly interface makes navigation a breeze.
