Love the large and clear face of the Mares Quad computer. Its divided into sections, making it easy to read and navigate. The buttons and menus on this computer are fantastic.
It took me less than 5 minutes to learn how to navigate through the menus efficiently. One of my concerns was that this computer would feel bulky or awkward to wear, but I was pleasantly surprised.
It fits comfortably and doesnt hinder my movements underwater. On the downside, the black faceplate of the Mares Quad is made of shiny plastic that scratches easily.
Since the screen is almost flush with the faceplate and doesnt have a scratch guard, I try my best to avoid scratching it. Ive noticed that the screen is difficult to see at certain angles.
To get a clear view, I have to rotate my wrist or the computer itself. Despite these minor drawbacks, this dive computer is truly great. The screen size and clarity are wonderful, allowing for excellent visibility even at a depth of 100ft.
I recently dived the Vandenburg off Key West with this computer, and it worked flawlessly. I was able to rely on its accuracy and appreciate the detailed log of each dive it provided.
However, my only complaint about this product is the instruction manual. I found it a bit challenging to locate specific information, which slowed down the learning process.
Overall, the Mares Quad computer is easy to read and understand. As a non-tech old guy, I had no trouble figuring it out and using it effectively for my dives.
