Im 52, not very handy, and built this myself, just to give you an idea of the ease of it. It did take about 6 hours and a second person would have been helpful, but we do what we can!
I had plenty of extra hardware at the end and the instructions were very clear. It does dent easily so be careful when taking your pieces out of the box.
Once up though, its much more sturdy. Tips: - use a screw gun and make sure its fully charged.
Mine died while I was putting on the roof pieces so I had to use a screwdriver for the rest - if your holes dont line up, youre either not on level ground or the piece is in the wrong spot.
Sometimes I had to shift the whole shed to get the pieces to line up as I wasnt on level ground, other times, I was putting the wrong piece in the wrong spot - dont tighten your screws fully until theyre all in - it was below freezing when I built this and I definitely dont recommend that haha, hard to hold the screws when you cant feel your fingers - the bottom part of the roofing doesnt have predrilled holes but it doesnt need it.
Its very easy to get through that metal even with just a screwdriver - when putting the roof pieces on, put the ladder inside and move from the front to the back, then put the back panels on from the outside Again, if something isnt fitting, you may need to shift things or check and make sure you dont have the wrong piece or need to turn it around etc.
I made a few mistakes because I wasnt looking carefully and rereading the instructions fixed it
She’s came in 2 boxes. Assembly instructions were a bit confusing once the base was assembled, but otherwise it was fairly simple.
I store my mower, rakes ,weed eater, edger etc works out well for our needs.
Let’s do the cons first: it was missing the corner pieces for the roof (which are more cosmetic than anything, but I can’t seem to find out how to contact the seller about it without initiating a return, which I don’t want to do), and there is one step where it was quite impossible to tell which direction to orient one of the pieces and no written directions to help with that.
However once you get to a later step it becomes extremely obvious that you either did it right, or you need to take a literal one minute and turn the piece around before continuing.
The pros: this was very straightforward on how to assemble, had more than enough hardware. The instructions as a whole were extremely clear between the images and the written instructions.
It is very good about telling you not to tighten up the hardware completely so that you have the wiggle you need to make sure your holes line up throughout the process.
The size is perfect for us duplex dwellers, and with a power drill and two people without interruptions you have yourself a 2 hour or less project. We are extremely happy with this purchase.
It has not leaked at all despite being under the roof ledge that has no rain gutter. I was worried about this when I saw the gaps from the corrugated roof, but it has had no problems in the snow, rain, or sprinklers.
Let’s start by saying this is not gonna hold up to any hurricane nor a blizzard. So if you are looking for something sturdy and well put together, please get another shed.
Here are some ideas. Pro vs Cons Pros: instructions are very well done. The price is not bad considering all other prices I checked. It looks aesthetically pleasing.
You could assemble it by yourself but it’s better with two person. Cons: If you put it together without taking out the protective film, it could go fast, if you have to take the anti scratch film, it will take lots of extra hours.
As a matter of fact, the reason why it lost the star it was because how long and how annoying it was to take that film. This is not a water proof shed, it will leak and it has spaces that you won’t be able to plug cause they are just too big.
