12 Year old boy Shot by Police dies

A 12 year old boy was shot and killed on Saturday afternoon by police officers in Cleveland after they responded to a 911 call that a juvenile was scaring people with a gun at the Cudell Recreation Centre playground. Despite the 911 caller saying he thought the gun was probably a fake, police arrived and told the boy to raise his hands. When he refused and, instead, reached for the gun, police shot him in the torso. The boy, who has been identified as Tamir Rice, died the following day in hospital.
