In a conversation with Zelensky, Henry Kissinger spoke about private talks with the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Andrii Yermak, and that the United States is inclined to establish a ceasefire, instead of peace talks. However, after that, it will be difficult for Ukraine to start a war again.

"Your colleague, Mr. Yermak, in conversations with me mentioned the ceasefire negotiations and the final peace talks. But I could draw a line between a cease-fire and a final settlement of the conflict. But, of course, you understand that after the establishment of a ceasefire, it will be very difficult to start a war again with the full support of the allies. I believe that there is a tendency in America now to establish a ceasefire. But not right this minute. I believe that you will be able to carry out your current offensive with full support. I think our people think that you will not have complete success in returning territories, that you will be able to return some territories, but not all of them. That's what the military told me."
