The Indian Army and the Yeti | More Encounters 🐵☃️🏔️

The Indian Army routinely treks the Himalayan Mountains as part of their training and longstanding tradition of being rugged outdoorsmen. No strangers to bears and other high elevation dwelling animals, the Army routinely comes across enormous footprints from a bipedal creature and hears the roars of an unknown animal echoing across the snow covered mountains. The majority of photos posted online of Yeti footprints come directly from the Indian Army themselves. The Army even has a signed pact with Nepal to photograph or capture the creature if given the opportunity, but it strictly states that it should not be killed or shot at, only as a last resort in situations of self defense.

Local tribesmen have detailed this creature for centuries under names such as, "Wild People", "Man Bear" or "Filthy Snowman".
WWII soldiers stationed in the region encountered and even killed some of them thinking they were men, they called it "The Alma".

Despite it's depiction in movies, the Yeti is described as covered in a reddish brown fur, not white.
And unlike its American counterpart, "Bigfoot" or "Sasquatch", the Yeti is known to be quite violent., killing cattle, even people, and eating them, or simply drinking their blood.
