One of the things that can really get you off the swimming mood is water filled with jellyfish. One of the reasons being that just a brush with these transparents swimmers can really ruin your day, if not the entire summer. Many decide against swimming in oceans for this particular reason, waving their summer dreams goodbye.

But there is actually a lake on this planet that is jam-packed with jellyfish and you can actually swim with them as carelessly as if it were your own bathtub. Appropriately named Jellyfish Lake, this basin of marine water in Palau, Micronesia is brimming with thousands of jellyfish deemed harmless, since their sting is actually very light.

With her GoPro camera set in action, Nana Trongratanawong films her surroundings at Jellyfish Lake in Palau. Ongeim'l Tketau is only one out of 5 other lakes open for public.

After the experience Nana noted, "Snorkeling with these golden jellyfish was fun, but freediving and drifting among them was even more special. I felt free. It's serene. These guys are harmless but very fragile so please be gentle and watch your fins-kick while being in their home. Oh, look out for those little ones! They're super cute!"

Two species of scyphozoan jellyfish live in Jellyfish Lake, the moon jellyfish and the golden jellyfish.
