The German hunting community held a Jaegerschlag which is a ‘Hunters Knighting.‘ It is an ancient ceremony and custom held by the German hunting community where new hunters are officially sworn into the hunting community by taking an oath to act as responsible sportsman and preservers of the outdoor heritage and way of life. The ceremony includes oaths, hunting horns and toasts to the new hunters, with all participants in traditional hunting dress.
