The training of soldiers arriving in the rear area of ​​the special military operation is conducted by experienced instructors from the Zapad group of troops. The newly arrived fighters are engaged in the shooting of the received small arms. They shoot for accuracy and speed at targets at various ranges from automatic weapons and machine guns, RPG-7V anti-tank grenade launchers and 30-mm AGS-17 Flame automatic grenade launchers at targets that imitate manpower and lightly armoured vehicles of the Ukrainians.

Also, units are trained in army tactical shooting from small arms at a specially equipped area of ​​the range with shelter walls, passages and corridors, and window openings for firing from various uncomfortable positions at targets with a change in firing positions. Elements are being worked out as part of tactical groups - squads and platoons.
