5 Traits For Sales Success

A hustler, thick skinned, persuasive, persistent, and confident. A hustler is someone who has in the past shown that they've chased a really big goal. They've had to work really hard to achieve something.

Thick skinned. This was the hardest part for me to develop. In fact, I was very, very sensitive. We get rejected. Over and over again. Being thick skinned or the willingness to develop thick skin is really, really important because if you don't, you will fold.

Persuasive. This is someone who has the ability to communicate clearly of their side of their point of view, whether it's sales, business, politics, religion, to be persuasive and say, oh, I wanna think like that too.

Persistent. Someone who's heard no or been rejected or faced obstacles, time and time again. And instead of reaching that obstacle, be like, ah, can't do it. They just ask themselves "how?".

Confident, is the way someone carries themselves. It is mission critical in sales and especially in roofing sales, and especially if you're with a company that's doing door to door.
