Landwärme and bioCORE have developed a unique system that can both capture carbon dioxide emissions and generate renewable electricity. Their Solid Oxide Fuel Cell technology produces power by utilizing biogenic carbon dioxide captured from the atmosphere and industrial emissions.
The system offers a two-way solution: it can generate electricity from captured carbon dioxide, and it can also store excess renewable energy produced from solar and wind during times of peak generation. This closed-loop process aims to create a carbon-negative energy cycle. Landwärme believes the technology can be scaled globally to support local energy grids without increasing overall carbon emissions.
