The Scotus Pendulum Swings? #85 | Been Awake with LB

The mission of better sensemaking continues! I remember growing up, people would talk about politics in terms of a pendulum swinging. A pendulum is a weight hung from a fixed point so it can swing freely backward and forward. For most of the 21st century and arguably the late 20th century, this symbolic pendulum manifested in supreme court decisions has swung “left.” Only recently has the court become more “conservative” and so we watch as the pendulum swings “right.” What does this mean for our polity? How does this show us what comes next in politics? These are the types of questions we explore in episode 85 (even though the video slides will show 84.) We also cover Twitter’s recent decision to limit the amount of tweets for its users, Meta launching a micro-blog app, updates from the Ukrainian conflict, and the sad state of modern dating. Don’t forget! The best and quickest way to access the latest piece of better sensemaking is to go to beenawake.com and subscribe with your email, and do me a favor - share this show with a friend you think will enjoy the content, and an escape from the woke.
