Meetings of Working People's Organizations

Pyongyang, June 24 (KCNA) -- Working people's organizations in the DPRK held meetings on June 23 to vow vengeance on the occasion of June 25, the day of struggle against the U.S. imperialism.

Present at the meetings were Pak Thae Sop, secretary of the South Hwanghae Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Choe Yong, secretary of the Nampho Municipal Committee of the WPK, officials concerned, officials of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK) and the women's union and agricultural workers and UAWK and women's union members.

At the meeting of agricultural workers and UAWK members held in the plaza of the Sinchon Museum, Kim Myong Gum, a victim of the brutal atrocities committed by the U.S. imperialist aggressors during the Fatherland Liberation War, made an address to be followed by speeches.

Kim Myong Gum accused the U.S. imperialists and class enemies, who temporarily occupied the village where she lived for mercilessly and killed not only a lot of patriots but also mere children.

Speakers expressed their resolve to harden the will to annihilate the enemy and always maintain full combat readiness and make a radical and substantial change in the agricultural production with the mind to smash the enemy.

Officials and members of the women's union held a meeting in the plaza of the Susan-ri House of Class Education.

Kim Jong Sun, chairwoman of the Central Committee of the women's union, made a report to be followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers said that the traces of war have disappeared on this land but the outcries of the souls calling for thousand-fold revenge upon the enemies is still heard in their ears, adding that the blood lesson in Susan-ri taught the iron truth of class struggle that illusion about the enemy precisely means death.

They called for well bringing up children like women of the preceding generations so as to put forward them at the military posts for defending the country, sincerely assisting the People's Army and making a tangible contribution to bolstering up the country's defence capabilities.

At the meetings the participants chanted slogans of annihilating the enemy. -0-
