The T-72 crew survived the ordeal with honour during the battle near Antonovsky Bridge.

The Ukrainian forces fired a missile at the tank, which dodged. The second projectile hit the rear of the tank and the T-72 again survived the impact. The crew, unharmed by the incoming fire, managed to get the vehicle out of enemy fire and to safety.

"We understood that if we did not accomplish this task, the infantry would not be able to clear the area under the Antonovsky Bridge. <...> We had to go with a smile on our face, only forward, there was no other way," said the fighter, call sign "Balu".
