Perennials for Hot Weather

Here's a selection of heat tolerant perennials - and some not-so-tolerant ones that would require extra care. I find it useful to know the families of my plants - members of the mustard or buttercup families are notoriously heat sensitive, while those in the aster, mint, amaranth and euphorbia families are far more likely to perform well in warmer weather and climates.

I didn't even try to go through all the options for heat tolerance - but if you have some recommendations to share, I'm sure we'd all appreciate you writing about them in the comments section.
